Full-time Secondary Welfare Support Assistant – Winchester, Hampshire
Are you a compassionate and resilient individual with a background in youth work, social care, or pastoral support?
GSL Education are currently seeking a Secondary Welfare Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Winchester. The role is to start ASAP or from September 2025 for the right candidate. The role offers a competitive salary ranging from £21,500 to £24,500 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is ideal for someone with experience or transferable skills in working with young people, particularly in roles such as youth worker, social worker, or pastoral support.
As a Secondary Welfare Support Assistant, you will be a key member of the pastoral and welfare team, helping to support students across the school who may be experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges. You will be on-call to respond to individual students in need and will help create a safe and nurturing environment where they feel heard and supported.
