Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support students across the secondary curriculum in Harrow. You’ll work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to create a positive learning environment, provide 1:1 and small group support, prepare resources, encourage participation, and help learners stay focused and progress toward their goals.

The role offers weekly PAYE pay, access to CPD, dedicated consultant support and opportunities in mainstream and SEND settings.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people in education or similar settings is desirable but not essential.
• Positive, proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model for students.
• Genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.
• Confidence working as part of a team in a fast-paced school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to reinforce learning.
• Assist teachers with classroom preparation, resources and activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation in lessons.
• Help students stay focused and progress toward learning goals.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents to support student development.
