Job summary

Exclusive Education is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant for a welcoming school in Tameside. You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, deliver small group interventions, and help create a positive learning environment.

This long-term role offers a competitive daily rate (£95–£105), ongoing consultant support, and opportunities across the North West. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one is required, with references to attest suitability.

Qualifications

• Two references which comment on you working with young people or in a care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support students within the classroom across a range of subjects
• Deliver one-to-one and small group support where required
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Promote positive behaviour and student engagement
• Support students with varying learning abilities and needs
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
