Job summary

Remedy Education is supporting a Greenwich-based secondary SEN school in their search for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant. You will work with teachers and therapists to support pupils with reading and writing, helping break tasks into manageable steps while fostering a positive learning environment.

The role offers training in behaviour management and safeguarding, with term-time working and potential for permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have genuine desire to work with children with SEN.
• Compassionate, resilient, with a supportive approach.
• Pro-active and able to take initiative, not waiting for direction.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers, therapists and support staff to aid learning.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are safe for pupils.
• Prepare activities and tidy away after sessions.
• Develop understanding with each child to maintain an optimal learning environment.
• Report safeguarding concerns promptly and accurately.
