Secondary School Support Role in Stoke-on-Trent

Axcis is working with a fantastic secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, seeking a dedicated individual to support a specific student on a 1:1 basis. The student has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and exhibits challenging behavior.

Position Details

1. Role: Secondary Teaching Assistant
2. Support: 1:1 with ASD student
3. Pay: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on skills and experience)
4. Schedule: Term Time Only, Monday-Friday, 08:15am - 4:00pm
5. Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
6. Start Date: ASAP until the end of the academic year
7. Availability: Full-time and part-time roles available

Key Responsibilities

1. Attend to the pupil’s specific needs and follow all care plans.
2. Ensure the safety of the student, supporting and de-escalating challenging behavior when necessary.
3. Provide 1:1 support inside and outside the classroom to facilitate full engagement in activities.
