Do you have a passion for working with young people and want to gain school-based experience before beginning teacher training in 2026?
A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Crewe is looking for enthusiastic and committed graduates to join their team as Graduate Teaching Assistants starting September 2025. This full-time, long-term position offers a fantastic opportunity to build classroom experience, develop teaching skills, and make a real difference in students’ lives.
What’s on offer?
Full-time, long-term role beginning in September 2025
Excellent preparation for a teacher training course starting in 2026
Earn up to £550 per week
Located in Crewe with good local transport links
Your role will involve:
Supporting teachers in whole-class activities and providing small group or one-to-one support
Helping students improve key subject skills and confidence
Assisting with classroom organisation and behaviour management
Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners
Working alongside experienced educators to learn more about the teaching profession
Gaining insight into the day-to-day running of a busy secondary school
Who we’re looking for:
Graduates with a 2:1 degree or higher in any subject
Interest in core subjects such as Maths, English, Science, MFL or Humanities is a bonus – all disciplines welcome
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
Confident, enthusiastic, and professional communicators
Adaptable, reliable, and motivated individuals
Any experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
