Salary: £100 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Chesterfield. This is a great opportunity to support students in the classroom, help with learning activities, and provide guidance to those who need it most.

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will support students during lessons, helping them stay focused and confident in their learning. You'll assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and encourage positive behaviour. This role suits someone patient, reliable, and passionate about making a difference in students' lives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Classroom Support: Work alongside teaching staff to assist with lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.
• One-to-One and Group Work: Provide support to students in small groups or on an individual basis, helping with academic tasks or social development.
• Behaviour Support: Encourage positive behaviour and help manage any challenges in a calm and understanding way.
• Learning Assistance: Support pupils in understanding the curriculum and completing tasks, adapting activities where necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and other staff to deliver the best possible outcomes for students.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting students within a secondary school setting.
• Be confident, friendly, and able to build strong relationships with young people.
• Be adaptable, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students succeed.
• Hold an updated CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
