Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is helping a well-regarded Horsham secondary school recruit an experienced Science Teacher for a long-term maternity cover starting in October. You’ll deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 science lessons, with flexibility to cover across specialisms when needed.

Join a supportive department and contribute to student progress, behaviour, and attainment while enjoying CPD opportunities and dedicated consultant support. This role is based on-site in Horsham, West Sussex.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary setting preferred.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence.
• Ability to adapt confidently to different classroom environments.
• Passionate about supporting young people to succeed.
• SEN experience welcomed but not required.

More Than Just Another Teaching Role

We're working with a well-regarded secondary school in Horsham seeking an experienced Science Teacher to join them from October on a maternity cover basis.

The majority of your timetable will be dedicated to delivering engaging Science lessons, helping students develop their understanding and enthusiasm for the subject. As with many secondary schools, there may be occasions where flexibility is required to provide cover support outside of your specialism, making adaptability and confidence in the classroom equally important.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Work closely with an established and supportive department
