Science Teacher | Long-Term & Temporary Roles | Crawley

The Role

We are looking for educators who can turn a classroom into a laboratory of discovery. You will be responsible for sparking curiosity and delivering high‑quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus).

  • Location: Crawley and surrounding areas.

  • Pay: Competitive daily rates (paid to scale) based on experience.

  • Contract: Flexible options including long‑term maternity cover, block bookings, and daily supply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practical Learning: Plan and lead safe, engaging practical experiments and theoretical lessons that align with the National Curriculum.

  • Inclusion: Differentiate work to ensure students of all abilities‑including those with SEN and EAL‑can access the wonders of Science.

  • Progress Tracking: Use regular assessments to identify learning gaps and provide the "scaffolding" students need to excel in their exams.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are very welcome to apply).

  • A degree in a Science‑related subject.

  • Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for student‑led learning.
