Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Middlesbrough is seeking qualified Secondary Supply Teachers to cover across KS3 and KS4 in local secondary schools.

You will deliver engaging lessons, maintain safeguarding and behaviour policies, and work with school staff to support pupil progress. Flexible full-time, long-term placements available, with competitive daily rates and weekly PAYE.

Job Title: Secondary Supply Teacher

Salary: Competitive daily rate (depending on experience and qualifications)

We have exciting opportunities for qualified Secondary Supply Teachers to work across secondary schools in Middlesbrough, and the surrounding areas.

Whether you're looking for full-time supply work or a long-term placement, we offer flexible opportunities to suit your availability while enabling you to make a positive impact on students' learning and development.

Your role will involve delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. You will work collaboratively with teaching and support staff while following all school behaviour management and safeguarding procedures.

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the UK National Curriculum
  • Inspiring students to develop strong subject knowledge, confidence, and critical thinking skills
  • Assessing, monitoring, and recording pupil progress where required
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and the wider school community
  • Following all safeguarding and school procedures

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant subject (essential)
