Art & DT Teacher – Maidstone

Creativity meets craftsmanship in this exciting opportunity for an Art & Design Technology Teacher in Maidstone! If you love sparking imagination, encouraging innovation, and bringing ideas to life, this thriving secondary school is looking for someone passionate, engaging, and ready to inspire students across KS3-KS4.

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (September until December 2025 initially)

Salary: £162 - £223 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and hands-on Art & DT lessons that encourage creativity and problem-solving.
• Guide students in designing, building, and refining projects using a variety of materials and techniques.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel inspired to experiment and innovate.
• Support students in developing technical skills, from sketching to construction.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and create exciting learning experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design Technology.
• Experience teaching KS3-KS4 students.
• Ability to motivate and engage students in both practical and theoretical lessons.
• Enthusiasm for extracurricular creative projects and school-wide events.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
