Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting qualified Secondary Supply Teachers to work across King's Lynn and surrounding areas. Roles include daily supply, short-term cover and long-term positions with both full-time and part-time options.

You will deliver engaging lessons, follow school schemes of work, manage behaviour and adapt to different schools while supporting pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified teaching status (QTS) or PGCE.
• Experience in a secondary school environment.
• Strong subject knowledge in your specialist subject.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work across different schools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with school schemes of work.
• Teach across Key Stages 3-5 where appropriate.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Follow lesson plans and adapt teaching where necessary.
• Assess and support students' learning and progress.

• Maintain high expectations of students’ behaviour and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leadership.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Provide feedback to the school where appropriate and ensure continuity of learning during staff absence.
• For longer-term positions, contribute to planning and marking, attend departmental meetings, and participate in schemes of work and parent events.

The Role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, your responsibilities may include:

What You'll Need

To be considered for Secondary Supply Teacher opportunities, you will need:

• QTS, PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching within a secondary school environment
• Strong subject knowledge in your specialist subject(s)
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
