Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking dedicated KS1 Tutors to provide personalised, one-to-one outreach tuition to secondary-aged students across Wiltshire. You will support learners facing barriers to education, helping them re-engage with learning and rebuild confidence.

The role emphasizes Maths and English teaching, with Science at GCSE as a desirable extra. Carve out flexible hours, typically 10–15 hours per student per week, in home or community settings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching secondary Maths and English.
• Two years' experience supporting children with SEN/SEND.
• Enhanced DBS registered or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to travel to learners' homes or community settings.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one outreach tuition to secondary learners from Year 7 to GCSE.
• Teach Maths and English across the secondary range.
• Assess learning needs and identify gaps in knowledge.
• Plan and deliver structured, personalised learning programmes.
• Adapt teaching to SEND profiles and learning styles.
• Support EHCP targets and academic goals.
• Help students prepare for GCSEs and relevant exams.
• Maintain progress records and communicate with parents and professionals.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals involved in education.
