Prospero Teaching are looking for a Secondary SEN Tutor to support young people across South Tyneside who are out of mainstream education due to SEND, SEMH, school refusal or other barriers to learning.
You will deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in Maths and English, develop personalised lesson plans, monitor progress and complete daily attendance and weekly reports. Sessions take place face-to-face in community settings across South Tyneside.

You'll work on a 1:1 or small-group basis, supporting students with subjects such as Maths, English and Functional Skills. Many of the young people may have been out of school for some time, so building trust and creating a safe, positive learning environment is really important.
We're looking for tutors who are patient, understanding and flexible, with a genuine passion for helping young people build their confidence and re-engage with education.
Sessions will take place face-to-face in community settings across South Tyneside, such as youth centres, family hubs and community centres.
