Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting Teaching Assistants for partner secondary schools across Liverpool to support Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Immediate full-time, part-time, and long-term contracts available.

Candidates with experience in educational settings, SEN, or youth support will thrive, with roles ranging from HLTA/LSA to cover supervision and pastoral support. DAILY duties include assisting teachers, leading literacy and numeracy catch-up sessions, managing behaviour, and supporting exams as

Qualifications

• Experience in educational, SEN, or youth support environments.
• Background in mainstream schools or SEN settings preferred.
• Immediate full-time, part-time and long-term contracts available.

Responsibilities

• Assist subject teachers across Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 classrooms.
• Lead targeted literacy, numeracy, and subject catch-up sessions.
• Utilise techniques to manage classroom behaviour and disruptions.
• Build professional relationships with disengaged or vulnerable students.
• Assist with mock exams, acting as reader/scribe/invigilator when needed.
