Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to support students in Birmingham's secondary schools. This role covers KS3 and KS4, with 1:1 and small-group support, and close collaboration with class teachers.

We offer competitive daily pay of £90–£120, flexible day-to-day and long-term opportunities, and access to CPD through My-Progression. PAYE payments apply, and safeguarding checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• A positive, patient and proactive attitude.
• Confidence supporting secondary-aged students.
• A genuine passion for education.
• Secondary school experience is desirable, but transferable experience is also welcomed!

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in the classroom across KS3 and KS4.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support.
• Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and student engagement.
• Helping students build confidence and independence.
