Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support learning in secondary schools around Boston from September 2026. You will work closely with teachers and pupils, helping with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and creating a positive, safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children or young people, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, flexible, and professional attitude.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students individually and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation.
• Help students stay engaged and motivated during lessons.
• Support pupils with additional educational needs where appropriate.
• Promote positive behaviour and a respectful learning environment.
• Adhere to safeguarding and school procedures at all times.
