Job summary

Academics, a reputable education recruitment agency, seeks a Secondary Music & Performing Arts Teacher for flexible daily supply, short-term, and long-term opportunities across Ellesmere Port.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, supporting expressive arts and potentially leading ensembles or productions. UK QTS and an Enhanced DBS are required.

Secondary Music & Performing Arts Teacher - Ellesmere Port - September Start
Academics, a reputable education recruitment agency, is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and inspiring Secondary Music & Performing Arts Teacher for a variety of flexible daily supply, short-term, and long-term opportunities at supportive secondary schools across Ellesmere Port.

Role Overview

Deliver & Engage: Plan and deliver vibrant practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Flexibility: Seamlessly step into Expressive Arts departments across Ellesmere Port for flexible daily cover, short-term absences, or planned long-term block placements.

Inspire Performance: Encourage participation, musicality, and dramatic expression, fostering a supportive environment where students of all skill levels feel confident performing.

Extracurricular Opportunities: Support or help lead extra-curricular music ensembles, school productions, choirs, or rehearsal clubs during longer-term assignments.

Requirements

Qualifications: UK Qualified Teacher Status, with a degree in Music, Performing Arts, Drama, or a related discipline.

Subject Knowledge: Strong command of the UK Music and Performing Arts curriculum, including practical instrument/vocal instruction, music technology, or theatrical performance techniques.

Classroom & Studio Management: Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to maintain structured, focused rehearsal and classroom environments.

Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).

Location: Based in or easily able to commute to secondary schools throughout Ellesmere Port and surrounding Cheshire West areas.
