Role Overview

• Deliver & Engage: Plan and deliver vibrant practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Flexibility: Seamlessly step into Expressive Arts departments across Ellesmere Port for flexible daily cover, short-term absences, or planned long-term block placements.
• Inspire Performance: Encourage participation, musicality, and dramatic expression, fostering a supportive environment where students of all skill levels feel confident performing.
• Extracurricular Opportunities: Support or help lead extra-curricular music ensembles, school productions, choirs, or rehearsal clubs during longer-term assignments.

Requirements

• Qualifications: UK Qualified Teacher Status, with a degree in Music, Performing Arts, Drama, or a related discipline.
• Subject Knowledge: Strong command of the UK Music and Performing Arts curriculum, including practical instrument/vocal instruction, music technology, or theatrical performance techniques.
• Classroom & Studio Management: Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to maintain structured, focused rehearsal and classroom environments.
• Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
• Location: Based in or easily able to commute to secondary schools throughout Ellesmere Port and surrounding Cheshire West areas.
