Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Secondary Behaviour Support Mentor to support inclusion for students in Wiltshire secondary schools. You will provide direct support to pupils alongside school staff, helping them manage social and emotional needs.

The role involves planning and delivering interventions, building relationships with schools and agencies, and contributing to reviews while maintaining records. Hybrid working is in place with a strong commitment to equality and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4 or above or equivalent.
• Experience working with young people.
• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidance.

Our Behaviour Support Service are looking for a dedicated Secondary Behaviour Support Mentor to join them to help play a key role in supporting the inclusion students in secondary schools in Wiltshire.

Weprovide direct support to secondary school pupils, alongside school staff and the wider team, to enable them to manage their social and emotional needs, promoting inclusion and preventing exclusion from school.

Your responsibilities will include:

We are looking for a committed support mentor who has GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4 or above or equivalent. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people.
