Randstad Education is seeking a Secondary Cover Supervisor to lead classrooms across Key Stage 3 and 4 in the absence of the regular teacher. This role requires confident, adaptable individuals who can step in and manage learning without marking or planning tasks.

You will work across Brighton, Hove and coastal Sussex, with an 8:30 AM–3:30 PM schedule and a straightforward 3:30 PM sign-off. Pay is £100–£130 per day, via weekly PAYE, with no weekend grading or lesson prep and strong opportunities

Qualifications

• Ability to command a room with enthusiasm and professional maturity.
• Backgrounds in education, youth work, sports coaching, or performing arts are valued.
• Availability during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply.

Responsabilités

• Lead classes across Key Stage 3 and 4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-set work, answer pupil questions, and keep students focused.
• Maintain positive classroom behavior with clear boundaries and calm authority.
• Submit essential attendance notes and wrap up at the end of the day.

• Set the Vibe:Maintain positive classroom behavior using clear boundaries, encouragement, and calm authority.
• End-of-Day Transition:Hand back completed work and submit brief, essential attendance notes before clocking out.

Qualifications:

• Versatility:Backgrounds in education, youth work, sports coaching, or performing arts are highly valued.
• Reliability:Standard availability during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Vetting:Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
