Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a confident Secondary Cover Supervisor (No Marking/Planning Required) to lead classes and manage learning across KS3 and KS4 in Brighton, Hove and surrounding Sussex towns.

This role offers no lesson prep, no staff meetings, and a 3:30 PM sign-off, with weekly PAYE pay between £100 and £130 per day. Local placements throughout Brighton & Hove and coastal Sussex provided.

Qualifications

• Presence to command a room with enthusiasm and professional maturity.
• Versatility from education, youth work, sports coaching, or performing arts.
• Reliability: availability during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Vetting: Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead the room: oversee classes in KS3-4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Guide learning: deliver pre-set work, answer pupil questions, keep students focused.
• Set the vibe: maintain positive behavior with clear boundaries and calm authority.
• End-of-Day Transition: return completed work and submit attendance notes.

• End-of-Day Transition:Hand back completed work and submit brief, essential attendance notes before clocking out.

• Reliability:Standard availability during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
