Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd in Romford, East London, is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to supervise classes during short-term teacher absences and to deliver pre-prepared work. You will help students stay focused, engaged and on task in a supportive school environment, with safeguarding training, weekly pay and ongoing support from education consultants.

Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential; strong communication and classroom management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across the secondary school during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work provided.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and communicate instructions clearly to students.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide guidance and support to students where appropriate, helping them stay focused on their learning.
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress, student engagement, and any behavioural concerns.
• Encourage a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment where all students can learn effectively.

Salary: £90 £130 per day (dependent on experience)
