Job summary

Flexzo Teach is seeking an experienced Alternate Provision Tutor (Secondary) to join our local talent pool in the Lytham area. You will deliver tutoring sessions across core subjects (English, Maths, Science) or SEN/SEND support, tailoring activities to meet diverse learner needs.

Responsibilities include planning differentiated lessons, maintaining session notes, coordinating with schools, and upholding safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

PGCE or QTS required or preferred.
Proven tutoring experience in Alternative Provision or with SEN/SEMH learners.
Strong knowledge of the Secondary curriculum in your tutoring field.
Right to Work in the UK and Enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to apply).
Confident delivering in-person and online sessions with clear communication.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging tutoring sessions focusing on core subjects or SEN/SEND support.
Plan differentiated learning activities to meet complex needs and SEMH/ASC/ADHD considerations.
Support learners in developing independent learning strategies and confidence.
Record session notes and progress updates; communicate outcomes with school staff.
Coordinate with educational settings to confirm delivery approaches, schedules and resources.
Adhere to safeguarding and compliance policies and escalate concerns when needed.
