Job summary

St Peter’s CofE Academy is seeking an outstanding and innovative Second in Department for Mathematics to work closely with the Head of Department to secure outstanding attainment and progress at key stages 3 and 4. An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an exceptional Second in Department for Mathematics

Start Date: January 2027

Salary: Leadership 2 to Leadership 6

Contract: Full time Permanent

St Peter's CofE Academy is seeking an outstanding and innovative Second in Department for Maths. You will work closely with the head of department to ensure high quality learning takes place and that outstanding attainment and progress is secured at key stage 3 and 4.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering the highest quality lessons and achieving excellent results for your students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn.

The successful candidate will:
  • Have excellent leadership and management skills

  • Demonstrate excellent curriculum, data and analytical skills to ensure that the curriculum is fit for purpose
