About The Role

Elvin’s Maths department secured its best GCSE outcomes in 2024, and we anticipate even greater success in 2025!

The role involves managing the professional community of Maths teachers to ensure high attainment and foster a love of learning among pupils.

As our Second in Charge Maths Teacher, you will ensure meaningful learning by delivering engaging lessons. You will motivate and inspire pupils, helping them make rapid and sustained progress.

Key responsibilities

  1. Plan, resource, and deliver high-standard lessons to promote meaningful learning and pupil progress.
  2. Develop the Mathematics curriculum at Key Stage Three through Maths Mastery, and at Key Stage Four and Five through GCSE-focused planning.
  3. Coach and mentor developing teachers within the department.
  4. Implement academy routines and techniques to foster high expectations.
  5. Contribute to enrichment, extracurricular, and aspiration-raising programs.
  6. Support the effective daily functioning of the academy.
