Job Description:

We are seeking to appoint a Second in Charge to strengthen our Mathematics Department, starting January 2025 (or sooner).

The role involves supporting leadership and management within the department to build an effective teaching team that enhances learning and achievement.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and managing resources, teaching materials, programmes, courses, methods, and assessments, primarily for KS4;
• Providing guidance, support, and leading development sessions for staff;
• Ensuring high standards of student achievement, monitoring progress, and setting improvement targets;
• Monitoring student progress and performance against targets, implementing personalized interventions as needed;

Our Mathematics department is located in a new building opened in September 2021 at Tunbridge Wells.
