Job summary

A leading maritime services company is seeking an experienced Second Engineer for their upcoming assignments on BALEARIA HSC RoRo Passenger Ferries. This role requires maintaining a safe engine room watch, overseeing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must hold valid STCW95 certification and demonstrate extensive experience in similar roles on passenger ships. Additional language skills and technical proficiency are preferred. The position offers a 2 months on / 2 months off contract model.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in subordinate positions on passenger ships.
• Physically and medically fit for crew duties.
• Moral integrity and good people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain engine room watch and supervise team.
• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and pollution regulations.

Skills

Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical)

Ability to maintain engine room safety

Proficient in technical drawings

Strong interpersonal skills

Education

Valid STCW95 certification
