Job summary

Runwood Homes is recruiting a Second Chef to join our Hospitality team. You will deliver hotel and restaurant standard meals to residents, with a focus on quality and person-centred care, supporting the Head Chef in their absence.

The role requires catering experience, knowledge of dietary requirements, and Food Hygiene Level 2; NVQ Level 2 is preferred. We offer training, progression, and a friendly environment with on-site parking and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment with knowledge of dietary requirements.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.
• NVQ Level 2 in catering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of food preparation for residents.
• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu and company standards.
• Monitor portion control and minimise waste.
• Support Head Chef and deputise in their absence.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene compliance.
