Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking a Second Chef to join our Hospitality team. You will deliver hotel and restaurant standard meals for residents, without split shifts, leading in the Head Chef's absence and supporting the team with high standards.

The role requires catering experience, Food Hygiene Level 2, and NVQ Level 2. We offer weekly pay, a pension, DBS check, on-site parking, and clear progression opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience within a catering environment.
• Secure understanding of special dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification preferred or in place.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all stages of food preparation meet the highest standards for residents.
• Cook and serve meals in line with menu and company requirements.
• Comply with Food Safety & Hygiene Regulations 2013/2006 where applicable.
• Maintain presentation and taste quality of meals.
• Adhere to portion control to minimise waste.
• Meet dietary requirements by following quantities, charts, and recipes.
• Maintain safe, healthy, and efficient working environment.
