Care UK’s Millers Grange Care Home in Witney is hiring a Second Chef on a full-time basis. You’ll lead the kitchen, prepare nutritious meals for residents, and support menu planning while keeping food costs in check.

Expect to maintain high safety standards and develop the kitchen team through training programs. This role offers balanced hours and opportunities for apprenticeship-style progression within a multi award-winning care provider.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Experience in care-home or similar hospitality setting is advantageous.

The Role

As Second Chef, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the kitchen by:

• Supporting and leading the kitchen team day-to-day
• Preparing nutritious, diet-sensitive meals tailored to residents needs
• Assisting with menu planning and seasonal meal ideas
• Managing stock control and food cost guidelines
• Maintaining high Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
• Training and developing kitchen team members
