Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchens. Move away from split shifts and late hours and enjoy better work life balance while delivering restaurant-standard dishes to our residents.

You will plan seasonal menus, develop recipes, manage food safety and costs, and help us keep menus exciting yet affordable. Experience in care is welcome but applicants from all sectors will be considered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Chef.
• Holder of a food hygiene certificate or equivalent.
• Financial acumen – you know your numbers as well as your favourite recipe.

Responsibilities

• Menu planning and seasonality: create menus with seasonal ingredients while balancing freshness and cost.
• Recipe development: design crave-worthy dishes aligned with our brand and kitchen capabilities.
• Food management: oversee preparation, presentation and waste; manage inventory efficiently.
• Budget mastery: understand food and labour costs and work within pricing strategies.
