Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Seasonal Mail Sorter in Medway to support our busiest period. You will unload, move, and sort mail across our centres during peak season, with roles offering varied shift patterns and hourly rates.

No previous experience is required; just enthusiasm and reliability. Night shifts are not available to applicants under 18. Location options include Medway Mail Centre and Medway Outhouse in Rochester.

• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including on your feet, pushing/pulling trolleys up to 250kg with wheels and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.

Pay rate: hourly rate is dependent on the shift pattern you're offered

Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you'll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns, including the following core shift patterns, available at

Medway Mail Centre, Knight Road, Rochester, ME2 2EE

Medway Outhouse, Rochester Walk Bundling Centre, Fortbridgewood, Maidstone Way, Rochester, ME1 3AU

• Earlies: 06:00 - 14:00 (£16.24 p/h) - Medway Mail Centre only
• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£17.70 p/h) - Medway Mail Centre only
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£19.00 p/h)
• Weekends: Various shifts available (as above p/h) - Medway Mail Centre only

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What you'll need to join the team

You don't need any previous warehouse operative, mail or parcel sorting experience. We're looking for people who:

• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
