Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking seasonal staff for Jubilee Mail Centre in Hounslow to support Christmas sorting and delivery operations. No prior experience required; join a lively team and gain experience in a busy warehouse environment.

Seasonal roles offer shifts such as 14:00-22:00 or 22:00-06:00 with pay of £17.70–£19.00 per hour depending on pattern. This temporary work does not include visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on a busy sorting line and in a team.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle items up to 11 kg; push/pull trolleys up to 250 kg with wheels.
• Flexible to switch tasks as needed during shifts.

Looking for a temporary Christmas job? Whether you’re looking to earn extra money, gain experience in a busy warehouse environment, or to be part of something meaningful, this role is for you. No previous warehouse or mail sorting experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll provide the rest.

‘Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you’ll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available at Jubilee Mail Centre, Godfrey Way, HOUNSLOW, TW4 5XX, including the following core shift patterns:

• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£17.70 p/h)
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£19.00 p/h)

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What You’ll Need To Join The Team

You don’t need any previous warehouse operative, mail or parcel sorting experience. We’re looking for people who:

• Have a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.
