Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting for a Seasonal Mail Sorter at Gatwick Mail Centre, Crawley. If you’re looking to earn extra money this festive season, this role offers flexible shift patterns and on-site facilities. You will unload letters and parcels, move mail around our sorting centres, and help sort quickly and accurately.

No experience required; bring a positive attitude and team spirit. Core shifts include 14:00–22:00 at £17.70 per hour and 22:00–06:00 at £19.00 per hour, with additional weekend

• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet, pushing/pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels), and handling items up to 11kg.

‘Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you’ll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available at Gatwick Mail Centre, James Watt Way, CRAWLEY, RH10 9AA, including the following core shift patterns:

• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£17.70 p/h)
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£19.00 p/h)
• Weekends: Various shifts available (as above p/h)

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.
