Barchester Healthcare is seeking a passionate Bank Chef to help deliver fresh, seasonal menus in our care homes, while maintaining high standards without long shifts. You will support the Head Chef and tailor meals for residents, ensuring a warm, welcoming dining environment across our homes.

Qualifications

• Personable and warm approach with residents’ wellbeing.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience in leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition.
• Experience with fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment within our home.
• Good understanding of HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality, wholesome dishes.
• Help create a warm, efficient and fun environment.
• Work within budget.
• Complete regular audits.
• Manage stock control.
• Assist in leading and motivating a team.
