Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Guildford's Surrey Hills laboratory is seeking a Lab Technician for our EMC Testing team. This 6 month contract offers the chance to perform a range of testing assignments ensuring consumer electrical devices meet radio testing standards and safety requirements for market release.

You will prepare specimens, run tests per customer specs, record data, and assist with fixtures and equipment under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety.
  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field.
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts.
  • Possess computer skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus.

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our rapidly expanding Connected Technologies business at our state-of-the-art laboratory in Surrey Hills, Guildford.

As a member of our EMC Testing team, you will perform a variety of testing assignments to ensure cutting edge consumer electrical devices meet specific radio testing standards and are safe for manufactures to bring to market.

Please note this a 6 month contract with a view to going permanent.
