Job summary

Noah's Ark Zoo Farm is seeking Seasonal Catering Assistants to join our Catering team on a fixed-term contract. You will help deliver hospitality and top-notch customer service to visitors at our rural site.

Roles include taking orders, serving food and drinks, operating tills, and assisting in shops. Full training will be provided; candidates must be 16+ and able to work Sundays and school holidays. This role is paid at the National Minimum Wage for your age group.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders, operate tills, and take payments.

• Barista trained; training will be given.

Seasonal Catering Assistants at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm

We are looking to recruit friendly, bubbly, and hardworking individuals to join our Catering team on a Fixed-Term Contract basis here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm.

As a Catering Assistant, you will be an essential part of our Catering team, responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality and customer service.

As a Catering Assistant, some of your duties will be:

• Taking customer orders, operating the tills and taking payments.


• Serving hot and cold food and drinks to our visitors.


• Taking and making up ice-cream orders.


• Tidy and clean tables/sweeping and cleaning the floor in all visitor areas, in the food barn plus catering outlets.


• Running food.


• Barista trained, as will be making a multitude of hot drinks. *Training will be given.


• Working in the zoo's gift shop and farm shop as and when required. *This will require a level of fitness, as will be handling seasonal produce, i.e., pumpkins/Christmas trees.

About you:

• Be a great team player, with a flexible can-do attitude.


• Reliable and punctual.


• Capable of working efficiently under pressure.


• Must be aged 16+ (due to Employment Law).


• You must be able to get to this rural location (especially on a weekend / bank holiday).


• No experience is needed as full training will be given, all we ask for is a willingness to learn and a friendly, positive attitude.

Work pattern

Sundays, and during school holidays, all we ask is that you are flexible!

This seasonal contract will end as of: 31st January 2027.

Salary:

You will be paid the National Minimum Wage for your age bracket.
