Job summary

Freemans Event Partners is seeking Food & Beverage Assistants for Twycross Zoo Winter Light Trail. The role runs November 2026 to February 2027 with 3:30 pm – 8:30 pm shifts, at Twycross Zoo, Burton Road, Atherstone.

Pay is £13.00 per hour. No cooking involved. Prior experience in catering or customer service is welcome but not mandatory; Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate is mandatory.
• Friendly, approachable personality for a busy venue.
• Confident dealing with customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a small team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work weekday and weekend shifts.
• Ability to commit to regular shifts across the event.
• Previous catering/hospitality/retail or customer service experience preferred but not essential.
• Applicants must hold Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification.

• Take customer orders and serve ready-to-eat sweet treats.
• Process cash and card payments accurately.
• Maintain attractive product displays and replenish stock.
• Keep the unit clean, tidy and well organised.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Support the Food & Beverage Supervisor with the smooth running of the concession.
• Assist with setting up and closing down the unit.

People by Freemans is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Food & Beverage Assistants to work at a sweet treats concession during the Twycross Zoo Winter Lantern Light Trail.

You'll be working in a welcoming, fast-paced environment, serving a selection of sweet treats to visitors enjoying the winter light trail.

No cooking is involved!

With shifts available from November through to February, this is a brilliant opportunity to secure regular seasonal work as part of a friendly, consistent team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working Dates & Hours

Shift Time: 3:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Shifts are available on selected dates throughout:

• November 2026
• December 2026
• January 2027
• February 2027 (final event date: 21st February)

There will be a mixture of weekday and weekend shifts, including opportunities during the busy festive period.

Regular Availability Preferred:

We're looking to build a small, consistent team who can work together throughout the event.

You don't need to be available for every date, but we would love to hear from people who can commit to regular shifts across multiple weeks.

This opportunity is particularly suited to someone looking for consistent part-time work during the winter months.
