Job summary

Argos is seeking a Buyer for Seasonals to own ranges across Events and Gifting, translating category strategy into a customer-focused proposition that drives profitable growth. You will manage range selection, architecture, pricing, supplier activity and forecasts, while supporting the next Christmas range towards January sign-off.

You will collaborate with Design, Product Development and Global Sourcing to develop products and build ranges across trees, decorations and lighting, while trading

Qualifications

• Buying experience with direct accountability for a product range or evidence of independently leading commercial decisions.
• Ability to use sales, margin, stock, availability and competitor data to drive range or pricing actions.
• Experience developing both own-brand and branded product ranges.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing or promotional funding.
• Experience delivering a range plan through cross-functional stakeholders in a retail or multi-channel environment.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned ranges across Events & Gifting and translate category strategy into a customer-focused proposition.
• Manage range selection, architecture, pricing and supplier activity, including forecasts and promotional plans.
• Trade current Christmas offer while developing products across trees, decorations and lighting.
• Collaborate with design, product development and sourcing to build compelling ranges and negotiate for best commercial outcomes.
