Job summary

Argos is seeking a Buyer for Personal Electricals within the Commercial & Digital team. You will translate category strategy into compelling ranges, pricing and trading plans, owning ranges from strategy through to launch, promotion and end-of-life.

You will use customer and market insights to drive decisions, negotiate with major suppliers, and collaborate across Merchandising, Digital, Marketing and Global Sourcing to deliver profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Experience owning or supporting a retail product range.
• Experience with branded products or suppliers in electricals/technology.
• Experience using sales, margin, stock and availability data to drive decisions.
• Experience delivering range, pricing, trading or promotional plans.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and coordinating stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate category strategy into ranges, pricing and trading plans.
• Own assigned ranges from strategy to launch and exit plans.
• Be accountable for sales, margin, stock, availability and digital performance.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Digital, Marketing and Global Sourcing.
• Lead or support an Assistant Buyer for the Dental category.
