Job description

To work at our Vegetable Plant Nursery, based on the outskirts of Comber, John Gabbie & Sons Plant Raisers. We produce to order, over 60 million Transplant Vegetable Plants Annually for Farmers throughout the Island of Ireland. The role of Seasonal Agricultural Worker is to providing assistance to Plant Production and Nursery Maintenance. This will involve working inside Glasshouses/Polytunnels and Farm Sheds and working outdoors in all elements.

Responsibilities

• Setting down Plant Trays & Lifting the same for long periods, physically demanding.
• To assist with the Despatching Process by boxing up Plant Trays. To work effectively and safely in line with H&S requirements.

• Able to work well within a team.
• Keeping up with daily targets that are set.
• Always maintain a clean and tidy work space.
• Own transport required due to location.

Further Information

Salary: £12.21 per Hour & Increased to £12.71 on 1st April.
