Job description

Our client, who provides Warehouse, distribution, and Logistics services, is currently seeking a Sea Freight Clerk to join their team in Essex.

The role of the Sea Freight Clerk:

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be booking freight with shipping lines, completing sailing documentation, providing quotations, and setting up new customers.

Other duties will include:

• Book deliveries.
• Arrange customs clearances.
• Provide port health checks.
• Liaise with other offices.
• Pay the shipping lines.
• Invoicing for shipments.

Requirements of the role:

• The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Sea Freight Clerk / Coordinator, Import Clerk, or Export Clerk, and will have experience in ocean freight.
• As a Sea Freight Clerk, you will need to have good operational know-how of customs clearance procedures, food import, SPS, and Port Health experience.
