Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master with a technical background, to join our digital and product transformation team at AXA Health. In this role, you’ll guide and support cross-functional teams in their agile journey, helping to foster collaboration, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. Your proficiency will play a crucial role in promoting an agile mindset, overcoming challenges, and creating an environment where teams can thrive.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Organise essential meetings for efficient and effective delivery.
  • Leverage your technical background to understand team challenges and provide input where necessary.
  • Establish key KPIs and adopt a data-driven approach for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to foster an agile mindset.
  • Partner with architects and leads to ensure value-driven and quality-focused delivery.
  • Train and mentor development teams on Agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Create a collaborative environment that encourages open dialogue and conflict resolution.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and remove impediments.

Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience as a Scrum Master following Agile principles, practices and theories.
  • Understanding of software development with previous technical experience in a role such as a developer, architect or technical analyst preferred.
  • Previous exposure working in a Salesforce team advantageous.
  • Proficient in scaled Agile frameworks like SAFe and LeSS desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in building genuinely Agile teams within large-scale enterprises
  • In-depth knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Proven ability to facilitate productive sessions with diverse stakeholders, promoting collaborative decision making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective relationship building across teams and departments.
  • Experience with Agile metrics and KPI’s, leveraging data to drive improvements across teams and the wider business.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

What we offer:

At AXA, we’re appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that. You can expect to receive:

  • Competitive annual salary dependent on experience
  • Annual company & performance-based bonus
  • Contributory pension scheme (up to 12% employer contributions)
  • Life Assurance (up to 10 x annual salary)
  • 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Opportunity to buy up to 5 extra days leave or sell up to 5 days leave
  • AXA employee discounts
  • Gym benefits
