About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will guide and support both technical and non-technical teams in agile processes, ensuring continuous improvement and high-quality deliverables. Your efforts will help reduce time to market and enhance team satisfaction.

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

The must haves:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), and/or Certified/Professional Product Owner accreditation; or equivalent experience as a Scrum Master.
• Demonstrated understanding of agile and lean principles, and value-based delivery.
• Experience in one or more aspects of information technology delivery (software design/development, IT architecture, project or programme management).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure teams adhere to agile/scrum practices as prescribed by the VM DNT Agile Chapter.
• Organize and conduct scrum events, including sprint planning meetings, sprint retrospectives, product demos, and daily scrums.
• Partner with Product Owners to achieve high-quality and timely deliverables based on the highest business value.
• Manage sprint planning and execution, providing clear visibility into sprint status.
• Facilitate issue resolution within the team, safeguarding the scrum team from external influences or diversions.
• Assist with backlog maintenance and prioritization of defect resolution.
• Coach scrum team members in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.

• This role provides a remote working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in Reading, twice per week. Travel will be required as part of this position.
