Job description

Gerrard White is currently seeking a SCRUM Master with extensive experience working with Agile, ideally gained within an insurance or aggregator environment, although wider financial services experience would also be considered.

You'll serve as a servant-leader and coach, ensuring Scrum practices are followed, obstacles are removed, and continuous improvement is embraced.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives)
• Protect the team from outside interruptions and ensure focus on sprint goals
• Foster a collaborative, self-organizing, high-performing team environment
• Track and communicate sprint/release progress using agile metrics and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Partner with Product Owners to manage backlogs and ensure clear, actionable user stories
• Identify and resolve team impediments quickly and effectively
• Support Agile adoption across the organization through training and coaching

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and delivery methodologies
• Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I/II)
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
• Comfortable working with distributed or cross-functional teams
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar
