Job summary

Royal London is hiring a Scrum Master to help shape how we deliver value for our customers through large-scale digital delivery and transformation initiatives. You will support Agile teams, remove impediments and embed high-performing ways of working to deliver impactful products.

You will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to our Agile community.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum practices and coaching techniques.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments and enabling high-performing, self-managing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile delivery teams to achieve sprint and programme objectives, facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams to continuously improve their ways of working.
  • Support teams to become self-managing and high performing, encouraging collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise work and maximise customer and business value.
  • Identify and remove impediments, helping teams maintain momentum and deliver against agreed goals.
  • Use Agile metrics and insights to monitor performance, improve delivery effectiveness and drive positive change.
  • Build strong relationships across teams, fostering collaboration and helping break down organisational silos.
  • Contribute to Royal London's Agile community by sharing best practice, coaching others and supporting wider Agile adoption initiatives.

As part of an exciting period of growth across our Digital business, we're looking for Scrum Masters to join Royal London and help shape how we deliver value for our customers.

Working at the heart of large-scale digital delivery and transformation initiatives, you'll support Agile teams to deliver complex technology and business outcomes, while embedding high-performing ways of working.

You'll act as a servant leader and delivery facilitator, working closely with Product Owners, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to remove obstacles, improve delivery flow and create an environment where teams can thrive.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in Royal London's digital growth journey, supporting teams working on impactful products, platforms and customer-focused digital solutions. You'll combine strong Agile expertise with a practical delivery mindset, helping teams deliver meaningful outcomes while continually improving how they work.

About the role

About you

  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments and enabling high-performing, self-managing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Experience using Agile metrics and insights to drive team performance and improve delivery outcomes.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for coaching others and embedding Agile ways of working.
  • Experience supporting digital delivery, technology change or digital transformation programmes within complex organisations.
  • A strong understanding of delivery management principles, with the ability to balance Agile coaching with a focus on achieving business outcomes.
