Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is seeking a Scrub Practitioner (NMC/HCPC registered) to join the theatre team at Chorley. The role is Band 5, on a 12-month fixed-term contract, part-time 28.5 hours per week, with weekend work potentially required. Salary: £32,073 - £39,043 per annum, pro rata.

You will work across scrub disciplines, supporting peri-operative care and mentoring junior staff in a busy surgical setting at Chorley and South Ribble District Hospital.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse / ODP with current NMC/ HCPC registration
• RN1, RN2 General Nursing Posts/ODP
• Diploma in Nursing
• Degree
• NMC recognised Mentorship qualification/Practice Assessor

Responsibilities

• Scrub practitioner duties across ENT, Max Fax, Breast, or vascular surgery
• Provide peri-operative care and patient-focused surgical support
• Support team leaders and mentor junior staff and students
