Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is seeking a Scrub Practitioner (Band 5) to join the theatre team at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital. You must be a registered General Nurse or ODP with scrub experience and be prepared to work across ENT, Max Fax, Breast, or vascular surgery.

The role involves delivering peri-operative care, supporting education and professional development, and rotating through multiple scrub specialties to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Appropriate NMC/HCPC Registration
• RN1, RN2 General Nursing Posts/ODP
• Evidence of continuing education or development for more experienced Band 5 nurses
• Degree / Diploma
• NMC Recognised mentorship qualification or willingness to working towards within 18 months

• Scrub team duties across specialties with rotation
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred peri-operative care
• Support and mentor future healthcare professionals
