Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Scrub Practitioner to join the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Theatres and support colorectal MDT at Royal Preston Hospital. The role demands scrub experience and a passion for high-quality, patient-centered peri-operative care.

You must be registered with NMC/HCPC or as an ODP, with the ability to mentor trainees and work in a dynamic teaching hospital environment. Salary ranges and a structured induction are provided.

Qualifications

• Registration and professional registration with NMC/HCPC is essential.
• Nursing posts or ODP background and current UK registration.
• Relevant degree or diploma in nursing or healthcare professions.

Responsibilities

• Scrub experience in obstetrics, gynaecology or/and colorectal surgery.
• Support and mentor future healthcare professionals within theatres.
• Deliver high quality, patient-centered surgical care in a fast-paced environment.

NMC/HCPC Registration

RN1, RN2 General Nursing Posts/ODP

Degree / Diploma

Mentorship qualification or willingness to work towards within 18 months
